Summary of Professional Reviews: According to the Horn Book database, this book was rated a 2 and has a Starred Review from the Kirkus Review Rating. This is the perfect story that shows the unexpected messes that occur during life. Don’t give up and see the positive side of things. Review by Stephanie Kuchavik: This is a fantastic story that shows the element of colors, emotion, and surprises. It is interesting in the way in which the thought bubbles are used rather than the traditional story text. The white background of the illustrations allows the color on the pages to pop out. It’s a fun book that will have the children laughing and will be able to relate to making messes. This book would be useful when teaching children between the ages of three and ten. -This book would be great to promote that not everything has to be perfect by connecting a self esteem lesson. -This book would also be great to have a lesson about emotions; happy, sad, angry, excited, surprised, etc. |
