Summary of Professional Reviews:Review by Kimberly Jones:

In the Horn Book review it states that: "McKay's masterful control of the mayhem is ingenious. The cartoony art may smooth the way for younger middle-graders challenged by the book's time shifts." This book is well written and keeps the reader's attention by going through different scenes. This may become confusing at first if the reader is unsure how the book is set up, but with the way the parts and chapters are labeled it should become easier to follow. There are few pictures found within the book but it does help break up the story and give a better visual representation on what is being read. |
This book would be useful when teaching children about different friendships, different types of families, and when talking about what pets we have in our homes.
