Summary of Professional Reviews: This story is filled with the magic and hope that makes it a classic story. This story is fun for older children (4th grade) to read and enjoy. This story plot points out how the greedy spoiled children got nothing in the end, while as good charlie received everything of his dreams.
Review by Jane Fuscellaro: I remember reading this story myself when I was younger with my teacher. To the class she would read using different voices, and emphasizing the exciting dialogue and events of the story. This story captures a young minds attention, because of the hope of little charlie and the magic of the factory. The funny looking pictures, matches well with Willy Wonka's funny personality.
This book would be useful when teaching…
As I mentioned before, this story is a good read aloud to the class. As an end of the day reward perhaps.
