Review by Stephanie Kuchavik: I enjoy this book and being able to see the reactions that children have to the story line. Due to the lack of words in this book, it creates an artistic feature to make the story intriguing and satisfying. This story gives the children an opportunity to interpret the story in a flexible manner. I liked that the pigeon’s emotions were all depicted throughout the illustrations in the book; allowing opportunities for children to have a sense of relativity. This is a simple book that speaks wonders.
This book would be useful when teaching children the ages of two and six.
-This book can be used to discuss safety of why a Pigeon (animals in general) and young children can’t drive vehicular.
-This book can also be used to discuss behavior and what type of behavior is appropriate when are where.
-This would be the perfect book to show to older children who are practicing to create their own stories. This is evidence that you don’t have to fill a story with a lot of big words for it to be good.
