Review by Christine Grasser: Jon Klassen brings his familiar illustrations to Mac Barnett’s unique characters and story. Annabelle’s character traits of helpfulness, while responding to conflict, demonstrate kindness and integrity. I did find the illustrations similar to other books such as I Want My Hat Back and Sam and Dave Dig a Hole. However, the illustrations of the yarn strings are inventive and appealing. There is a classroom that is depicted with geometry on the blackboard.

- This book is a great book to teach citizenship and how to handle conflict. There is also a page where geometry is portrayed on the blackboard, and I could see this book being used to see if the students recognize the geometry concepts when the book is being read aloud.
