Summary of Professional Reviews:
It is available in a variety of formats and has been strong for over 50 years. It is a bedtime story that parents can read to their very young ones, and a book that seems to have had a soothing effect to help kids settle down for the night. It is about a boy who says goodnight to all of the items he sees in his room. The pictures are consistent through out the whole book. The setting takes place in the boys room.
Review by Kim Beers...
While a child is saying goodnight to the different things he sees in his room, he rhymes with each word. There is great detail in the illustrations. There are numerous details on each page. There is a mouse and cat in all pages and the cat allows ignores the mouse. There is also a bunny present on each page who looks at the objects the child mentions.
This book would be useful when teaching...
Goodnight Moon can be used for when a child is being put down for bed. The parent can read the book to the child. He/she can also ask the child to say goodnight to objects in their own room
