Summary of Professional Reviews: The Horn Book Guide rates this book a 2. They believe that the book "demonstrates how not to act" and "closes with a demonstration of proper school etiquette."
Review by Lauren Miller: How Do Dinosaurs Go to School? is a page turner that kept me intrigued to find out what the dinosaurs would do next. The illustrations were very detailed, vibrant in color, and filled with emotion. The rhyming pattern seen throughout the book creates a great opportunity for students to predict the next scenario. Children would enjoy the comical pictures and text while learning proper school behavior.

This book would be useful when teaching:
- Classroom behaviors in a pre-school through 1st grade setting. I would use this book on the first day of school as a read-aloud. It creates a lighthearted atmosphere while also indirectly reinforcing appropriate classroom behaviors.
- A science lesson on dinosaurs. Both the inside front and back covers include pictures and names of the dinosaurs seen throughout the book. Children could try to find the dinosaur they are interested in or learn the names of the dinosaurs.
