Review by Ivette Thompson: This is a book that a lot of children can probably relate to. The main character, baby llama, is feeling really anxious after his mama tucked him in bed. Baby llama tried to get his mama's attention by asking for water and calling for her which is something that many children do. They ask their parents for anything just to get their parents to come back to their room. The illustrations in this book do a really good job at showing how anxious baby llama is feeling since his mama is not coming as fast as he would like her to. There is also a lot of rhyming throughout the book which makes the book more enjoyable and easier to read. This book teaches children that even though they are alone in their room their mom will always be near.
This book would be useful when teaching... In a preschool setting teachers can use this to help children understand that their mother will always be there even after they are tucked in bed to make sure that nothing will happen to them. In school setting teachers can use this book to teach rhyming. This book has a lot of rhyming and it could be used to introduce rhyming to children.
