Summary of Professional Reviews:
The images in this book that show David doing the things that he is not supposed to do is what make this book. The illustrations are truly amazing and show what the author was trying to express. David will be loved by students because they might be able to see a little bit of themselves in David. These are scenarios that we all went through as children whihc makes this story easy to relate to.
Review by Anthony Germani:
This is a great story for young children because they will be able to relate to David because when they broke their mother's rules they can imagine their mom's yelling at them no. This is also a great book because of the great illustrations that depict David doing things that he should not be doing.
This book would be useful when teaching
This would be a great book at the beginning of the school year when teaching students about the rules of your classroom. The students can brainstorm a list of rules and every time a student is about to do something that he or she shouldn't the students says no and then whatever the child's name is that is doing that action. This will put ownership on the students to enforce the rules which will make them follow the rules themselves.
