Review by Alexis: The book starts off with a simple instruction, "press here." The reader has no idea what they will encounter when they follow the instructions. The surprises that Tullet has on every page allows the reader to use their imagination in many different ways. Children and adults will be surprised on what happens on every page. It really is "a joyful celebration for the power of the imagination." It is amazing to see how much joy one simple yellow dot could bring to adults and children alike.
This book would be useful when teaching… This book would be useful as part of a preschool center. The readers need to closely interact with the text and it would be much better if done in a small group setting. The book could be used along side teaching the students about colors or numbers. The book assesses the students knowledge on their ability to distinguish colors and to count single digit numbers.
