This book casually rehearses days of the week, numbers, and colors. The mice are the colors of the rainbow and the text is white. The elephant is composed of texture and earth tones. The reader only sees the elephant as a whole once the mice put their heads together to figure out what it is. This animal fable teaches a great lesson about wisdom and the need to look at the whole instead of getting lost in the parts.
