Summary of Professional Reviews:Review by Kimberly Jones:
|
The Horn Book review describes that the story is creatively told in rhyme with watercolor pictures that compliments the story being told. The story goes through a rhyming sequence that follows the same pattern making this easy for young readers to learn how to read this book. The illustrations are very colorful, vibrate, large enough to be visible, and captures the whole scene of the forest. |
This book would be useful when teaching children about creating their own narrative. We could use this book as an example to show how the story has a beginning, a problem, the climax, and a resolution.
