Her father tells her a story about a big bad mouse and describes all of the different qualities. The graffalo’s child decides to sneak out of the cave and go explore for himself. Along his adventure he meets four different animals that confirm about the big bad mouse. The mouse uses the shadows of the moon to act like he is big and bad when in reality he is just a small little harmless mouse. |

The author uses a repetitive sequence which describes a scary animal that turns out to be a harmless little mouse that just knows how to stand up for himself. The illustrations in this book are very detailed and original.

How to Use it in the Classroom:This book can be used in Early Childhood classrooms when teaching a lesson on making a sequel to a piece of writing which the students have already created. This book is a perfect example of how to make a second addition to another writing.
