It is said that Mo Williams brings to life a pigeon by capturing his emotions and personality within this book. However, "some readers may feel this tale could also use a bit more mustard, but children who already love the pigeon will be satisfied." I found this book to be both interesting and funny. I wanted to see how the story would play out from the start. The pictures were large and colorful. I also thought the dialogue for the story was necessary and made me feel apart of the story by seeing the interaction between the pigeon and the duckling. |
This book would be useful to teach children about sharing with others, such as their friends, family, and peers. We can reflect on items that we have that others are unaware of and how we can show them and explain to them what it is that they are unfamiliar with by sharing this particular item with them.
