Review by Ranim Sankari:
I feel like this book is such an easy read. The words are simple and the sentences are short enough for young children to try to read alone. The story line and plot of the book is very funny and that could definitely keep the students engaged as they read the story. The fact that the grandmother was able to swallow such large animals made the text much more humorous. Humor is a great aspect to include in a book because is really keeps the students interested in the book. Lastly, the pictures were drawn in a very unique way because of the over exaggeration that Tedd Arnold included.
This book would be useful when teaching…

- This book can be used role playing in the classroom in the dress up center. Each student can dress up as an aminal included in the book. One student can be Buzz and the other can be the grandmother. Another student can be Fly Guy and the group can act out the book.
