Review by Alexis: This simple book is a great text for young children. The simple, repetitive text will keep children wondering until the end, "where is the green sheep?" The simplicity of the watercolors by Judy Horacek definitely helps the reader understand the text better.
This book would be useful when teaching… This book would be useful as a read aloud for a preschool class. It would be useful during a unit on colors. The point of the book is to find the green sheep and it would be a useful way to reinforce the student's knowledge of colors. While reading the book, the teacher can point out the colors that are in the book and can also ask the students what color the sheep are.
